The Messner Ranch, a horse ranch located on 150 acres in the Ohio Creek Valley of Gunnison, Colorado, is a multi-use facility with horse operations including boarding, training, lesson programs, horse sales and events. The ranch consists of 25 acres of cross-fenced grass pastures, 80 acres of irrigated hay meadow which also houses an elementary-novice level schooling cross country course, a 150’x 250’ outdoor sand roping arena with a full set of show jumps, a 50’ diameter round pen, a 7 stall barn with two 14’x20’ mare/foal stalls, heated automatic waterers, heated tack room and lounge.
Boarding:
Stall Board-Includes daily turnout in gender specific grass pastures with heated automatic waterers. Includes grain/supplements, blanketing and de-worming program. $300/month
Pasture Board-Gender specific grass pastures with heated automatic waterers. Hay fed twice a day throughout the winter months. $200/month
Training:

Lessons:
Summer horseback riding lesson program for youths and adults including day camps on lesson horses or bring your own. Call for more information.
Breeding:
Full service breeding facility offering stallion collection, Artificial Insemination services, all aspects of mare/foal care including foaling and halter/lead training. Mare/foal care prices $15/day or $450/month.
Events:
Check out our activities calendar to view upcoming events. Our events/activities include educational clinics and camps, team roping practice nights, and schooling Horse Trials twice a year in the spring and fall.
